Organizational Leadership Assessment

OBJECTIVE

The objective of the organizational leadership assessment process is to provide a tool to assess your businesses in a consistent manner.  There are seven main components to the process.

1.       Overall Business Assessment:  Grow, Defend or Maintain (see definitions below)

2.       Discipline Strategic Importance:  Based on the strategic profile of the business, each discipline must be ranked in order to determine its importance in relation to your Division's assessment.

3.       Incumbent Competency Ranking in Each Discipline:  Rank the current incumbent against the established General Manager competencies.

4.       Development plans for incumbent.

5.       Talent Alignment:  Process used to determine if the incumbent's talents aligns properly with the business strategic profile or consideration for moving to another Division.

6.       Succession Planning:  Process to think about successors and action plans to develop successors.

7.       2009 Specific Action Plans:  If no clear successor within the next two years, identify the specific action plans to address the issue.
